Death Takes Two SugarsDeath knocked on the door
came inside without invitation
poured herself some tea
and asked for a story.

He laughed at all the right parts,
cried when I cried,
asked for more than she received
silently demanding.

It cried with me and laughed with me
sipping their tea and listening
she wondered what I didn’t do
then told me how idiotic I was.

He told me about the children
I could have had but didn’t
and the falls that lifted me up
with the loss of others.

The girl in the pondIt was a warm summer night when I found her.
Her dress was white with yellow sunflowers,
and her auburn hair was spread out around her pale face.

It looked like an ever changing halo

The ghost felt forgotten in the house of the damned

No One Can Hear You ScreamSilence prevails,
an endless, comfortless silence,
which is worse than death,
because you remain conscious
of how utterly alone you are.

All dreams are nightmares
that come without sleep
when you never know if you
are awake.

Time is without meaning,
and you begin to wonder
if you still have any existence,
even madness dare not tread here,
but instead something worse,
and yet unnamable, unknowable,
the utter loss of self.

Denied even the mercy
of waiting upon death,
when you cannot even be certain
of what life is any longer.

How easily the mind turns against you,
begins to consume itself,
and you can no longer trust your own thoughts,
MirrorTake one look at yourself,
"What are you?"

The figure remains motionless,
Clear orbs glaring icy daggers,
Mouth curving into a twisted snarl,
Hands finally moving at lightning speed,
Palms colliding with the fragile barrier.

"What are you!?"

A jagged smirk is painted on the figure,
Laughter resonates from within,
Sick and disturbing and wicked,
Fear begins to invade your mind,
As your body trembles along with it.

The glass is cracking,
Shiny shards scatter across the floor,
Crimson liquid oozes out,
Soaking into everything.

"Stop it! That’s enough!"

Every time we are born..
we open our eyes,
with a dream vividly painted,
in our minds like a tapestry.

Every time we are awake..
we are haunted by those lurking shadows,
out of the forgotten past,
carving a face into our destiny..

Everytime we are afraid..
those cold voices
in our tragic hearts whisper,
the melodious swan songs of insanity..

Everytime we are asleep..
we drift to those lucious delusions,
making us velvet promises
with our closed eyes of blasphemy..

Every time we are dead..
Those ravens linger
on our rotting corpses
withering unto the soil in its dark misery..

We all come as we go...
Dancing in to this ragged madness
wearing those twofaced masks
in this masquerade of eternity..

i really like this, i like the concept and the word selection. that is true, we always do keep a part of us hidden, even to those who we claim know everything about us.
