On that december night, alone i pondered
in that gloomy darkness, my tragic heart wandered
the winds struck cold, restless and deep
as the dead soil shivered, making me weep
I kept walking still, for a mile or so..
until i had passed, a ground hallowed
the trees looked sad, naked and dry
their dead leaves crumbled, as i passed by
i had Loved and lost, as tears rolled my cheek
weary and tired, my soul felt sick
a place i thought, i could sit and cry
let my mind flow, and the agony die
How much i may love, may it be unspoken
you had fade away in silence, like a memory forgotten
harbored in my heart, the days suffered in dread
Now here i stand ,where she lies dead...
distant church i heard, a toll of midnight
though there was no moon, i saw a veil of light
dressed in a silvery gown,so beautiful was she..
fathoms away in sympathy, watching me
a chill ran down my spine, a twinge i felt
my heart shuddered in fear, making this sadness melt
at this macabre hour, a maiden stands alone
as the slumbering lillies bow, she stands on her stone.
i stood there still, as she smiled through the way..
fear fought my mind, but my heart remained brave
silent were her footstpes, as she moved towards me
amazed yet petrified, by her enchanting beauty
Sympathy in her eyes, she sat on the stone..
whispering a melody, in a familiar tone..
like a reverie forgotten ,puzzled at my gaze
She was back for me,from the dead
her face was so gentle, made the roses shy..
flowers spilt their colour, when she passed by..
retaining that beauty, in thy ecstatic death..
her cold morbid lip, with mine it met
joyous sense of death, as she embraced me..
in front of the staring stars, a replica i can see
a soul leaves in agony, to the heavens above..
saddned ,as its body, is with someone in love
A life i sacrificed for the sake of her
this cold eternal earth, we walk together
its true , what she had said
love always goes beyond the grave
Since that december night, i still ponder
in that gloomy darkness, i wonder..
I died for her or she lived (in death) for me
never will it be solved, an eternal mystery!
